Three hundred plants to be adopted - May 2020 Every year, in this period, the alchemy of nature is perpetuated and the park of Villa Carlotta explodes in a firework of colors and a thousand shades of green. These days the blooming of rhododendrons and azaleas give the scene to that of roses and together they give snapshots of a unique and incomparable landscape. The botanical heritage of Villa Carlotta is exceptional: centuries-old trees, majestic blooms, rare species and unique specimens, such as the centenary wisteria that climbs the trunk of the black pine in a riot of colors and scents. Preserving it is the daily goal as it has been preserved over the centuries to pass it on to future generations. Not an easy task but more fundamental than ever for the cultural value of Villa Carlotta, for its botanical varieties, for the environment. For a whole year the possibility is given to adopt a plan of the park of Villa Carlotta, in order to actively support its care by professionals. On the basis of personal preference, it is possible to choose between the categories identified by the experts, from the trees that can be found on the visit paths in the park, to the centuries-old specimens; from rare species, to valuable specimens, to the symbolic plants of Villa Carlotta. For one year from the donation, the tree or plant will be named after who will virtually take care of it.
